Gotta love them

Questions. What would we do without them?

For starters, I would not be able to use my favourite symbol "?", that would mean we would have an empty space on our keyboard..not to mention our phones..everything would have to be a statement and how confusing would that be or let me rephrase that to - that would be very confusing.

We would appear rude because we would no longer be able to ask for another person's opinion. We would only state things matter of factly - we would become an 'ordering around' society, there would be a decline in niceness and we would all become cranky because everyone talks at us not to us.

The magic of Touch

"I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something". Crash, 2005

Who's not busy?

Why is it that everytime you meet someone in the lift and say hello, the first thing they ask you is if you're busy? What's worse is our complusion to say that we are, even when we're not, as though if we said we had time to breathe we would be looked down upon and our value as human beings/employees would plummet!

Just Nice

A friend once described me as "nice" to which I replied with an indignant stare "nice, that's all you say about me?? that I'm nice"!!!

It got me thinking...whatever happened to being plain and simply nice...years ago one would have revelled in the fact that one was nice.....but now...in the complexities that surround that, even language and emotions havent been spared.

Being nice is not adequate, not anymore. I want to be dreamy, spirited, wise, level - headed, fiesty, confident, self-expressive..the list is endless. We aren't happy with just being. We want words to define us. Words that are more complicated than nice.

Nice is simple and simple is dead.
